Paul knew that I had a 30 year mortgage when we bought this home two years ago, but wanted a shorter term. When the rates came down, he was able to trim off 8 years of mortgage payments for us. We paid off the remaining 28 years and got a 20 year note. The real plus side is that we were able to get 2% lower interest rate which made our payments to principle over 2X a much per month. Our plan is to pay a bit extra to pay off the mortgage in 12 years to match my retirement plans. Thank you Paul!
