Michigan Mutual, Inc. works to make the mortgage process as simple as possible for you. When applying for a mortgage, your loan officer may ask for the following:

  • Paycheck stubs for the last 30 days
  • W-2 forms and personal tax returns for the past 2 years
  • Complete bank statements for the past 2 months
  • Most recent retirement account statements- upon loan officer request
  • Information about any bankruptcies, judgments or liens against you- if applicable
  • Documentation of divorce or child support payments - if applicable

    The department maintains a recovery fund to make payments of certain actual out of pocket damages sustained by borrowers caused by acts of licensed mortgage banker residential mortgage loan originators. A written application for reimbursement from the recovery fund must be filed with and investigated by the department prior to the payment of a claim.
